Interesting problem I've recently encountered whilst trying tp capture VHS footage to MPEG using my Jetway capture card (PC specs are in my profile).
When you go to play back or edit the clip, the media player/editor says the running time is double that of what it actually is. IE, it says the clip is 40mins long when its only 20 (or 10 mins when its actually 5 etc).
Obviously this isn't a problem for playback, but its causing all sorts of problems when trying to edit.
Any ideas what's causing this? Seems to do this regardless of the settings and its only recently started to do this.
TIA

No idea of the cause, but PVAStrumento may have the fix. I run my Hauppauge MPEG2 files through it and it improves the DVD compatibility of them.
