    hello

i have an avi dv of old cine film and the edges are very frayed. this wouldnt matter when viewed on a tv since each tv has a mask. however, the online version which show everything. I want to therefore create a slight black border around it in the avi dv before converting to windows media.

anyone know if i can do this in premiere 6.5?

    cheers

Simplest you be a PNG file with a black border and a transparent centre section. Just drop this onto a timeline as an overlay.

@ devdev: There's a great website I found useful when playing with Premiere 6.0 (I've since moved to Premiere Pro 1.5, but the site's good for that too).

There's two areas I found useful: the tutorials and the forums, both accessed from here:

There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Carpe diem.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.
