Hello everyone,
I have encountered an unusual problem after rebooting my pc after running it in safe mode. The aero interface seems to have somewhat vanished. The bottom task bar is a light grey color, and when opening various windows the transparent edges are gone, replaced by a generic blue color. Has anyone encountered this or know how to resolve it? Thanks!
Specs: Vista Premium; 4 gig ram, AMD 64 6000+
P.S. In case it matters I opened in safe mode to run a ram reliability check.

never mind after more digging I discovered how to fix. For whatever reason Vista disabled aero in safe mode but did not restore it when rebooting normally. In case anyone is interested here's what to do: right click the desktop-->choose Windows Color & Appearance-->select aero, viola!
