Question on dvdfab platnium

I just recently downloaded dvd fab platnium to my computer and for some reason have lost all files to my ms word and the program, I tried to go back a few days on my computer to see if it would recover itself and nothing, does anyone know of a free download to ms word I have windows 2000 pro if that helps. Thanks for the help in advance.

You will need an install CD to reinstall Word. You probably don't have one if it came pre-installed on your PC. You can try begging the people you bought the PC from and see if they can help.

There are free programs available that have good compatibility with Word if you don't rely on Word macros. Both

Abiword - http://www.abiword.com
OpenOffice (the Writer program in the suite) - http://www.openoffice.org

are free programs that can save documents in Word format and generally read most Word documents without too much trouble. I use OpenOffice all the time and it works fine for me. If you rely on Word macros a lot, these will not be realistic options for you. If you don't use Word macros and just need some kind of simple text editing program, either Abiword or OpenOffice may be fine for you.

see my whole thing is i own a business and i use word to type letters and such what, which now are all deleated of course, yes stupid me i didnt back them up. I just need a program where i can type on blank space and print thats pretty much it. Thanks for the info though im going to try openoffice and see what happens.
