Hi there----Been one heck of a long time since I been in here...

I need a Laptop...It is for Photography....Images will be shown via a Digital Projector....
Will I need a Laptop with a DVI-D OR Will I be able to use Laptop with VGA via a VGA to DVI-D Lead to Projector..
Will people be able to see the difference on Screen between a DVI n VGA...(Especially with the colours).

A few members in Camera Club says yes you will see difference n others say No you won't.....

Not many Laptops out there from £460 n under with DVI..Quite hard to find...Though I have found 2 within my price range...Loads of Laptops in that price range have VGA with lots of other extras as well...

So your Imput will be Appreciated..
    Thank You.

If your projector has DVI input, then you will want DVI output or if the projector has VGA input, then you can use VGA output of the laptop.

A DVI-I connector, like found on a normal display card, has pins for both DVI-D and VGA.

    VGA cannot connect to DVI-D

No, colors won't change based on connector type. The computer video card and the projector itself have far more impact on these factors. DVI is totally unnecessary here. DVI is more for video resolution than anything else, it really won't affect your photos.

Buy a good laptop and another good lens, instead of a DVI laptop. That's smart shopping there.

It would really depend on whether the projector is DVI-D only. In that case, you're screwed.

Just a thought, but the bar is being rapidly raised on video resolution these days, and what you grab now might seem fuzzy as one of those plastic opaque projectors in a very short time.
It's good you are researching it, but you might want to email tech support at Sony, Samsung, Apple, etc; for example, I've seen some giant flatscreens that have internal photo playback from DVD, and the new HiDef formats also include still photo considerations. I'd be very surprised if the projector people aren't nearly ready with their nextgen machine...
