The last four or five times that I have started my computer, an installer pops up and tries to install a program called Photo Gallery. It gets to the point where it needs a CD and I have to hit cancel over and over until it gives me a .netframework error that I have to control, alt delete to get out of.
I have no idea what this program is or why it just started trying to install itself every time I start my computer. I've checked HiJack This but don't see anything in startup that would cause it.

Solved: Double clicked on the HP Digital Imaging Monitor in my system tray and the Installer popped up so I put in the Printer CD and it installed the program. Not sure how it got uninstalled unless Nero uninstalled it to install something called Image Drive.

HP printer driver discs put a whole lot of programs on your computer by default.
They also have a bad habit of continually checking to see if you have the very latest versions of them all. Fine if you are using them all. If not, maybe a custom install would be a better choice.

I hate HP drivers/programs, especially the all-in-one printers
I always avoid the full install of their junk. I'll install the printer, then when XP/vista asks for the dirvers, I point the the specific drivers on the disc. I never use the setup routine or auto-run on the disc itself -
I buy canon instead of hp for that reason.
I think,therefore i am a hamster. -
