Guys,
I grabbed one of those players and was wondering if anybody had luck running a USB hub on it? I tried one powered hub and it didnt work. It didnt see any device plugged in, that it otherwise saw..
Any experience?
Cheers
Matt

Stand alone players are only capable of communicating with a single storage device over USB. They have a basic driver set only capable or recognizing and communicating with storage devices that meet a specific criteria. You're not the first person to try, and I've never seen one that worked. Thats what I thought ...

I wanted to install a back USB port into my 5982 as the cable in the front looks ugly...

I could just connect a USB port in parallel to the exisitnt one and then only use one at a time but it would have been nicer to run the one port of the player into a HUB (in the inside) and then run one port from the hub to the front and back ..

 cheers

 Matt
