Divx groups and titles created on my pc on a dvd5 are always truncated to 8 characters on the display.

The manual says it should display up to 25 characters, and there is space on the display.
Spaces and periods in the titles are changed to underscores, and still only take up one character.

The same disks display titles properly on my Toshiba dvd player and my PC?

    Any help appreciated.

Although I'm unfamiliar with this specific model, most of the Philips players have limited filename character support.

    Solved my own problem.
I had assumed that file extensions of avi and divx were essentially identical.
Wrong, with the avi extension the file names are truncated to 8 characters.
With the divx extension the file names are displayed up to 25 characters.
