Hello,
On my laptop when I'm logged in under another user account and in Internet Explorer, I received the error listed in the topic title. The error only appears when I'm logging off.
Thanks
More of what the total error looks like:

Do you have any toolbars etc installed? (Google, Yahoo etc)? Any antivirus/malware software that integrates with IE?

I suspect IE is looking for a file or reference that doesn't exist, at least for other users. It may to do with 'permissions' for different users. I suspect what it's looking for was installed for only the primary user and not all users. But it may be a bit difficult to determine the offender if it doesn't give you more info than that.
The problem is it's not telling you what it's looking for. The memory location would vary by computer, so that's usually no help.
A few possibilities:
Yahoo messenger has been identified as a possible source.
Do you have Yahoo or Google toolbars or other toolbars installed? They have reportedly caused these type of errors.
Some ActiveX controls can cause this. Try blocking them in IE.
If you have IE7, it seems to do this more often. Consider a downgrade to IE6 if possible. Or try another browser.
Or it could be a IE plugin. Same problem, which one?
The most common reason seems to be a browser add on. Get rid of all those and give it another try. -
another plugin that has a habit of leaving that kind of error on exit is adobe acrobat. harmless enough and causes nothing but the irritating message.

I also get this error. Started after a security update to IE7. Believe it is a bug. Same memory location.

Yep have toolbars on IE & Google. I'll trying blocking the ActiveX Controls. If that doesn't work I'll check to see if I have IE6 or IE7. If I have the latter, I'LL see if downgrading to IE6 would also help.
Thanks guys -
I see this quite frequently on Dell laptops. It happens on multiple applications and not just on internet exploder. It would be helpful if you filled out your computer details in your profile.
