I have the latest registered version of SVCD2DVD. I get no errors when converting but when I playback the DVD on my DVD player, I get a clipping sound in the last 2-3 chapters. I've tried 3 different avi files with the same result. I've also tried different settings with no success. Also, the sound is OK when I play it on my computer and my DVD player plays other DVDs with no problems. I didn't have this problem with SVCD2DVD 2.1.

well the audio is not touched in this run due to your settings. Maybe change them to "AC3" but uncheck the skip for AC3 as follows:
SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
VOB2MPG PRO, Extract mpegs from your DVDs - with you in control! -
I tried above but it left the audio alone again. (The audio of the asset was already AC3) The audio got worse.. Here is a log:

I also tested if there was a problem with my DVD writer. I burned the DVD with two different device. Both had the same problem.
Another log from another avi file used as an asset. This one also has the same problem:

Also, the sound is OK when I play it on my computer
Have you tried playing the S2D.MPG file to see if the sound problem is evident there?
What brand of DVD are you burning to?
What speed are you burning at?Dwight

I mean the burnt DVD plays fine on the computer. For some reason the s2d.mpg file won't play on my DVD player. It cannot identify the DVD and gives an error. I've tried different DVD brands, Maxwell, Philips and some nameless brand. The result is the same. I've also tried burning at x4 and x2.. No difference..
I am now thinking it might be my DVD player or my computer. SVCD2DVD 2.1 was installed on my laptop and it worked fine. (I'm now using SVCD2DVD 2.5 on my desktop computer) So, I will try 2.5 on my laptop tonight. Also, I watched a DivX movie on my DVD player tonight and realized some of the frequencies wouldn't sound. (Glass crash effects) This means my DVD player could be the problem. I will also check with another DVD player. -
Its seems to be either the burner or the media. I personally wouldn't use anything other than Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden discs. There should be a list of compatible media for your burner available from the manufacturer.

OK.. I've tried burning the DVD with two different burners. I have one external and one internal DVD writer. Both had the sound problems. I've also tried Verbatim, TDK and Memorex discs, the same issue. I've also tried burning with different versions of Nero. I think it might have something to do with the DVD player. I still haven't tested the burnt DVD on a different player. However, the DVDs I created using version 2.1 works just fine on the same DVD player.
Maybe I should go back to 2.1? -

Thank you. E-mail sent.
I tested the DVD on another player today. No sound problems.. so this means my DVD player is the problem.
