  1. How do you convert VRO_MOVIE files to VOB files as I took a video with my camcorder which I used a dvd-ram mini disc but my home dvd player wont accept dvd-ram

    Not sure what to do now but long term solution is to record to standard disc in video mode if you can.

    Some camcorders include software that, when installed on a PC, will allow you to transfer video to the computer's HDD via a USB connection. Assuming that computer has a DVD burner, and has the right software installed, you could then edit and author the transferred video to a DVD. If you have not already done so, check the documentation and accessories that came with your camcorder to see if it does. There is plenty of information about the rest on this site.     There's Vro2vob, a shareware from Japan. No English, but not too hard to figure out. It converts the contents of the ram disk to a regular dvd structure on the hard drive.

    Try simply renaming the file to .mpg and see how that goes. You might also give VCDGear a shot. Select mpeg-> mpeg and see if that works.
