My VCR is not working anymore. I am looking to buy another one and know that I can't buy just a vcr, that I need to buy a vcr/dvd player combo. Well anyway, I am finding that the new vcr/dvd players do NOT have an input for connecting my cable line (so that I can record directly from the TV to the VCR). Has anyone found this to be true?
If so, what other connector do I need to buy to allow recording from cable to TV?
Also, I am buying a DVD Recorder as well. I need both because I still have a lot of VHS tapes. How would the DVD recorder record TV programs? I don't want a combo DVD/VCR Recorder because it is cheaper to buy a standalone DVD recorder separately and just connect it to the VCR/DVD player to transfer tapes to DVD's.
