It will effect that volume of the AC3 on the fly as it is played back only.

Run AC3Filter config and in the System tab check the box "Show tray icon"
You can now access the config and adjust volume levels while it's working.

  6. j4gg3rr, i know how to define it while it played in my PC.
    my question is -
can AC3 Filter encode AC3 streams by my preferences?

i want to make changes within the movie sound (such us lowering effectes and increase speach) and to be able to play the movie on my DVD player with this changes...

in other words - to encode the sound...
to keep it AC3 - but to make several changes in it...

    THANKS again!

Nope. You would have to demux the audio back to 6 mono wav files, adjust them, then re-encode them and mux them back into the avi file.

  9. Hi, is it possible to gain-adjust an mp2 audio file without re-encoding? I've read that it is, and therefore I was looking to see if it's possible with AC3 files. Can someone clear up these issues? If it's not possible with an mp2 file, then why would an experienced person say so... is he just misinformed? If it is possible, I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me how, and also whether or not it's possible with AC3, though it doesn't appear to be. Thanks in advance.

  10. you can increase the volume if you have Nuendo with dolby digital plug-in.Then you do not need to reconvert to 6 wav files but no escape from demuxing
