I know there are like a million messages posted on this topic. But I want something simple and I can't seem to find it through the threads. (Call me impatient)
Anyway I have AVI movies about the size of 624 x 352. And I simply would like to burn it on a DVD to watch on my DVD player without the show being stretched as what happened when I tried a simple burning software.
Is there anything that coverts the AVIS to DVD files(vob, iso) or anything related without changing the file in any way?
Is there any software that can adjust the AVIS size so that it burns correctly on a DVD?
I would like to avoid so many steps to getting the AVI to DVD such as having to go through VirtualDUB, or other softwares.
Many thanks in advance.

If you have a typical video off the net, (Xvid, 700MB), you won't find much easier than ConvertX. It also does very good conversions, including PAL to NTSC.
If you have a higher quality video source, you might look into the individual tools for editing, encoding, authoring, and burning. For that I use MPEG-VCR, TMPGEnc encoder, TMPGEnc DVD Author, ImgBurn. Lots of others available, depending on how much you want to spend and how much time you want to spend learning to use them. There are also freeware alternatives for all of this that do a similar job. But they have a steeper learning curve.
