I first have to say that EO video is wicked. It is the only program that didn't crash or have some sort of error when I tried to convert my .rmvb files. Anywho, I am converting .rmvb to .mpeg. The video is absoloutely fine, and the audio is in sync, but at random points (during video play after conversion) it makes bleep/bloop sounds and the volume level changes. Is this a common problem? What changes should I make to audio in the profile section?

    Thanks.

update - it happens when I play the file in my dvd player, but not when I watch it on my computer - nonetheless, anybody know what to do?

EO Video is a good program and was the best (if not only) one at its time (2003), still sometimes helpful where clones like SUPER fail.
Did you try to output audio separately (wav project)?
What installation do you have (RealPlayer or RealAlternative; EO can work with either)? You could try the second one (in this case uninstall Real Networks wonder first, they are incompatible). If you get the same problem (audio decompressed with multiple small gaps; this usually happens if the media file is not seekable) you can try one of these ways (with RealAlternative installed):
a)AviSynth (decompress audio after opening script in VDub),
b)M$ GraphEdit (save audio to wav file using WavDest and FileWriter DS filters)
Then check synch and encode/mux your audio.
