    First a disclaimer. I'm new to this product and the general processes of video work.

    I used program capdvhs to create a transport stream (.ts) of a program from my Motorola cable box. I then used SVCD2DVD to create the files for burning to DVD. However, when I view the resultant VOB files via PowerDVD the video continually has blocks of pixelations (I believe that is the term) show up. I used the "Auto Fit" option the first time. I then tried it with the DL (Dual Layer) option thinking the compression of the auto fit was taking out too much detail. However, same issue.

    Is there a means to see if the source .ts file created out of capdvhs is the culprit?

    Also, in the log file, which is HUGE at 4,500 KB contains a TON of these types of message;

    I have verified the source .ts file created with CAPDVTS is the culprit. I used the VLC software to view the .ts file and it has the issues I am seeing. Now to find a means to get the recording off the PVR without this issue... any ideas?

    ok. Can the program capture to a program stream rather than a transport stream?

    I don't deal with .ts files at all myself but in my reading I see that a lot of people that do use a program called ProjectX (https://www.videohelp.com/tools/ProjectX) to clean them up. Maybe it could be of help to you.

    i'll check it out. Thanks

    Edit:
    Tried it but didn't fix it for me BUT... I've no clue how to really use it. It may do what I need but I just look at the interface with a blank... no clue what it says, it's all greek to me. laugh. It probably is a great tool but one needs to know what the heck they are doing to use it. I was looking for a button that says "BIll, click here to fix your pixelation, blocking problem on the .ts file you have" but I couldn't find it. sigh.
