You just burn it as a data disc, (DVD-ROM (ISO). Subtitles are usually just put in the same folder as the video and the playback program or Divx player should find them. They need to have the same name as the video as in: Movie.avi and Movie.srt. Or if it's going to a CD, CD-ROM (ISO).

Which player do you have? Not all of them handle subtitles the same (or at all). For example, my DVP-642 handles text-format .srt, along with a couple of other text-only formats, but you have to highlight the subtitle file before selecting the video and press the Subtitle button. Others may recognize the same-named .srt and automatically use it, yes. I believe the DivX Ultra specs allow for a certain type of subtitle stream within the AVI, so the Ultra players may prefer that format.

Of course, it's all dependent on which model player you have.

I can't find much info on that unit. But it should have some sort of subtitle support. Worst case, you could burn subtitles into the video. But that's not a good solution. I would try to find a Panasonic users forum and see if they might have the information.
