thanks, i tried other burner from my brother last night.

i used dvdshrink and it worked but there's no audio!
i also tried Aurora MPEG DVD burner, still there's no audio.
    what did i do wrong?
i've checked the avi file and there's nothing wrong with the audio.
but everytime i converted it to MPEG, the audio's gone. i just realize it last night.

i'm sorry for being OOT here, should i just start a new thread?

Yes, you should probably start a new thread - or click on Report this POst in your post, and have a mod split it off.

As for your problem, try converting with ConvertXtoDVD instead.

Also, open the VOBs from a converted file in the latest G-Spot and see if it actually has an audio stream.

i've reported my post so i hope the mod'll split it off.

i installed ac3filter and dvdsanta today. now my TMPGenc run very slow, i mean VERY slow. i;m not even sure it's running, it's been 15 minutes and there's no progress.

the audio problem is not available in dvd player and pc.

i almost forgot, i tried dvd santa today. and the audio came out! but the subtitle didn't.

what is so wrong with this file...i'm almost desperate here...almost...

i didn't know my post was removed here, i thought it's still in 'dvd authoring'. the mod didn't say anything about moving it here.

    anyway,
i'm still having problem with converting and authoring the afo-xvid file.
dvd santa solved the audio problem but the subtitle didn't come out.

i re-installed TMPGenc so it run normally again now. but i still have the audio problem when converting with it.

it's been a month and i still have the same problem.
at first i thought it's because of the afo-file.
but then i found another file that is not an afo, so i tried again.
still, the audio wont come out.
please, can anybody help me with this. TMPGEnc never failed any of my files before.
i don't know what else to do but i know i wont give up.
    thanks
