  1. I have 800MB .AVI file,
I wish to encode it so i can fit it to CD-R (700MB).

I use VDubMOD to encode to XviD but i also want the audio to be VBR,
can it be done with VDubMOD? or should i use an external tool to do so?

    Thanks!
    any help appreciated!

I would install the Lame MP3 codec, then you should have all the options available within VD Mod. I think Lame calls VBR 'ABR'. You may not save that much room, but go ahead and try it.
