  1. I'd like to be able to extract the movie audio from my dvd's so that I can listen to them on my mp3 player (instead of watching them). Is there an easy (and hopefully free) way to do this? I've seen posts talking about extracing soundtracks, but I thought that was referring to music tracks on the movie dvd's... I want the spoken word tracks...

It's all the same. The simplest tool is not free, but there are plenty of free ways to do it if you want to get your hands a little dirty.

You can use DVD Decrypter to demux just the audio stream for you.

  4. Thanks for the quick response. If DVD Audio Extractor is as easy as it looks, it may well be worth the $$.
I may try DVD Decrypter first...
