    When i try to rip a dvd using Smart Ripper, it gives me the error "no ASPI-Adapter available" and afterwards the dvd wont work, i tried burning everything, burning some things and still the video just wont work, normal .vob files work but not this one, it says something about the format being wrong or something but the dvd works when its on the dvd alone =/. is this something with my dvd burner, my computer or the dvd? is there a file i shud get? help?

    It is a particular burning layer that Windows used to need. XP and later doesn't require it, so it doesn't ship by default. Nero have one here : http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/ASPI_Driver.html that might help.

    I have XP but the file at the end of the burn wont work =/. look at my first post, i edited it to explain more

    You actually need ASPI drivers under XP (they don't come with OS) for using some applications. Nero uses its internal ASPI and doesn't install them into system (and their ASPI's are not recommended for common use). You need Adaptec ones. Here are some explanations and download links:

    First of all use ASPI check utility to find out what's installed on your system (e.g. if there's any version of ASPI installed by some application etc.).
