I bought the new special edition MGM versionss of Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal. I have an Apex Ad-700 dvd player and for some reason I cannot get the subtitles off the screen. I select NO subtitles from the menu as well as turn them off in the dvd player setup....Can anyone help me out? These are the only two dvd's I own that do this.....
Any ideas are appreciated!
Thanks

I beleive most Apex dvd players have a sub button on the remote. Try hitting that and see if it lets you scroll through the sub streams.
It might just be an authoring mistake in the dvds that only presents itself on some dvd players, yours being one of them. This is very common. Often production studios will give refunds in these cases if it is a known problem.
