HALF the screen with ads?
You could crop the ads with a video editor like virtualdub, open the vcd dat. Crop and save as an avi. -
You got completely screwed. Try to find a DVD of the movie. You'll get better quality and no ads. Taking out the ads will further diminish the quality of an already crappy quality format (vcd).
-
In VirtualDub cropping can be added to any filter. If you're not doing any other filtering add the Null Transform (do nothing) filter and add cropping to it.
File -> Open Video File (open DAT or MPG file from VCD)
Video -> Filters.. Add... Null Transform. Back at the filters dialog highlight the Null Transform filter and press the Cropping button. Adjust cropping as desired:
From there, save the result as you would any other video from VirtualDub (eg, Video -> Compression, File -> Save as AVI). -
virtual dub crop function crop also the part of film which was under ads.I want that ads lines of words upon the movie frames
disappear and under ads lines film part remain safe.is any s/w help me.
thanks:

Not going to happen!!
If they are encoded into the video, which they obviously are, it is part of the video and you can NOT take them out and get back the video that they are covering
The best you can do is use a logo filter which will just make a big blurry spot where the ad's are/were.
You can't magically get back what is gone! -
You can try the de-logo filter. If the text is still and partially transparent it can work pretty well. If the text is opaque you will get a blurry mess where the text was. If the text is moving you're screwed.
-
Yeah delogo filter is what i meant.
It would be nice to see a screen shot because if he is talking about what i think he is talking about, it's like a banner that covers the whole screen from side to side.
Best case scenario, when scenes change & any kind of motion you always see it. -

I wasn't contradicting anything you said, just providing a link to a guide since Delogo is complicated. He might also be able to use the Fill filter to black out entire regions.

You were given a link to a detailed guide.
Unless the text is transparent, it is not going to work very well.
Can you see the movie thru the text and logo? If not, then the best you are going to get is a big, messy blur where the text is removed. If you can, then you will get a slightly smaller, slightly less messy blur where it was removed.
Not worth the time or effort, IMO. -
Yeah, i just always thought it was amusing how the screen shot's always show how good the filters work for any 1 scene but when the scene changes it sticks out like a sore thumb.
It's too bad no one ever made a logo removal filter like the neat video filter that would/could change as the video progressed to keep it looking good.
Although i am sure it would take day's at minimum to do a 2 hour movie!
LOL! -
please some one tell the method of using filters logo remover and subtitle remover via virtualdub step by step.

I can't believe that this thread is still going.
Shitty source video, crappy, intrusive advertising that ruins it even further. Now he wants hand-holding.
Like I said earlier, get a dvd copy or find a better source. You cannot make curry from dog feces. -
The instructions in the first link you were given are as clear, step-by-step, and simple as it gets. If those are not good enough for you, then either give up or find someone to do it for you.
The example in the link you were given also show clearly the possible results for a small logo. -

That is not a 5 minute job. You're asking someone to spend an entire day writing up a guide just for you. You haven't even provided a sample image or short video that shows the ads.
As has been said before: in the case of semi transparent logos the logo will almost "disappear". Like the logo in this post from the first thread I linked to before:
https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/221665-Removing-Logos-using-DeLogo-vdub-filter?p=12...=1#post1284902
In the case of opaque logos you will get an ugly smeary mess where the logo used to be. If there is motion around the logo that ugly smeary mess will not be static. The motion in that mess will often be more annoying than the logo that was there before.Last edited by jagabo; 10th Jun 2010 at 20:25.
