    I am thinking about getting this for my computer to burn blu-ray I noticed you need a software update to play movies has anyone had issues playing movies??? thanks

    If you are wanting to play Blu-Ray movies, then you also need:

    Blu Ray software player like PowerDVD 7 Deluxe
    Graphics Card that supports HDCP (DVI with HDCP or HDMI)
    Your Monitor must also support HDCP if being used with DVI.

    Im not sure if analog connection can be used. Someone else should be able to answer that.

    I think Slysofts new clone software bypasses the hardware checks but it costs about $70...
