i have the sony pcv-rx490tv. (P4, 1.7 ghz, 80 gig........)
i am pretty new at this. basically im trying to get my downloaded divx movies onto dvd-r's to watch on my standalone dvd player.
i have upgraded to XP, and when i convert the .avi to mpeg2 with tmpgenc i get no sound (this is using the guidelines in the "how to" section). then i tried to use virtual dub (as instructed) to get a .wav file. the .wav that comes out is only 30 min of the movie!!!!!!!!!!!
ive been reading posts and have not seen any answers. can someone please help me with this problem, or show me another way to do this.
thanks

have you done the following in VD...
Go to tab audio.. choose full processing mode...
go to tab audio... choose compression... then,...
!!!! choose: No compression (PCM)
than save to wav...
if you done this..... else i don't know...as long as my boss thinks i make a lot of money, i will pretend to work hard ;)
