I've created a SVCD from my DV camera. The settings I've used in CCE SP 2.62 are CBR 2580, Luminance 0-255.
The SVCD is good (a little bit better than tmpgenc) but in the fast scene the video is not very fluid. I've tried to change the parameter "quality priority" from 5 to 23 but the results are similar.
It seems that the codec give more priority to the picture quality (respect the frame rate). So when the camera move quickly the MPEG become not fluid.
What settings I've to use to avoid this problem ?
Many thx in advance for any help.

A) Dont double post
B) Use at least 3pass VBR instead of CBR, set image quality to 0, and set bias to 0 as well -
sorry for the double post.
Thx for your answer, I have some questions about.
1) Given that my DVD player read at 2x and CBR 2580 is the max bitrate possible, what benefits involves the VBR for the quality ?
2) Why the parameter quality priority set to 0 improve the quality of the movement scenes ?
3) Where is the bias parameter ?
