    Hi,

I have a divx movie that I want to encode and put onto a DVD disc. Which is the easiest program to use, that both encode it and encode the sound to AC3?

I am familiar with convertxtodvd, but I am not sure it will encode the sound to AC3.

    Please help a newbie.

Quite contradictory. If you are familiar, you should know. If you are not sure, then you are not familiar
I am not familiar with ConvertX, but I think it will, but 2 channel only.

    Abond,

Let say it this way: I am not hugely familiar with it, and I am not sure it will encode the sound to AC3. I am looking for a program, which encode the sound to AC3.

If the audio is not DVD compliant or it is LPCM, then ConvertXtoDVD will encode it to 2 channel AC3 @ 192 kbps. If it is compliant (e.g. 5.1 AC3, 2 channel AC3 etc) then ConvertXtoDVD will use it as-is.

So, it depends on the source, if it contain AC3 or not?

AC3, DTS or Mpeg1-Layer2 audio will be left alone, anything else will be converted.

I'm not sure what you are asking

As I wrote before, I want a program that can convert a divx/avi movie to DVD, and retain the sound to AC3 if the divx movie is equipped with it.

I'm not sure how many other ways I can explain to you that ConvertXtoDVD does exactly that. Perhaps you should consult their website and ask their support people to confirm it as well.

Thanks, that's all I wanted to know.

Is there any differences between convertx2dvd and avi2dvd?
