    Hi,

I've got an AVI (Xvid) file that is 4.19 GB in size and a DVD quality picture.

Do I understand right that to convert it to NTSC DVD I have to put it through Procoder as any other AVI file?

    Thanks.

You may end up with a huge file if you want to preserve the quality in MPEG format. Of course this all depends on the original format and the running time. If it's a HD video, you may have to compress it quite a bit to get it on a single DVD.

You should be able to convert it with quite a few tools, Procoder included. As long as it accepts the video and audio formats of the file.

You mention NTSC. Do you need to also convert from PAL<>NTSC?

If it has VBR audio, such as a MP3 VBR, you may also need some further repair to minimise any playback or sync problems.

    Thanks.

The file is NTSC. It looks like the audio is not VBR as when I open it in VirtualDubMod, it does not give any errors.
