  1. Hi,

I mostly bought the program in order to rip a dvd (using SmartRipper or DVDDEcrypter) and to convert it again to DVD this time adding subtitles.

The final output has a problem. The movie is not smooth. Its like every half a second freezing and then playing and freezing and playing and so on. Its like being in a slow motion.

I did not notice this when i am trying to add subtitles to an avi file.

    Any suggestions ?

Just wanted to add that even if i try to convert the dvd even without adding new subtitles the problem is still there.

Here is the log without adding any external subtitles (the problem is still there) ,

I can see the problem, but I'm not sure why you are using such a poor process. There are a sh*tload of dropped and duplicated frames, which implies you did some form of format conversion that ConvertXtoDVD wasn't happy with. I'm not sure what, except that you have forced it to use NTSC 29.97 fps, when you probably should have left it auto.

That said, ConvertxtoDVD is entirely the wrong tool. If all you are doing is adding subtitles then there are a dozen different guides and methods to add subtitles to an existing disc without having to re-encode it, as you have done here. The original quality of the disc is maintained, but a subtitle track is added.

Are two to get you started. Yes, it seems a little complicated, but you will get a watchable DVD out the other end. ConvertXtoDVD is designed purely to take downloaded crap and make DVDs out of it. That it does well. It is not designed to author or re-author existing discs.
