moin, moin...
I've read a lot of stuff by now,
but it seems, there is no codec
I can use from within Vdub.
Please proof me wrong and tell me
that there IS one, that can compete
with TMPGenc, because life would be
much easier for me, if I hadn't to
use both.
TIA....

Sorry, Virtual Dub can only read MPEG-1 files, it cannot write or encode them.

it is possible with DVMPEG it shows up in Vdub as a codec.
In Avery Lee's FAQ he mentioned that
"When DVMPEG brings up its modal configuration dialog box, which blocks input to dialogs underneath it, the dialog sometimes inexplicably appears behind VirtualDub's main window. You can try hitting Alt-ESC to push other windows back to try to get to the dialog. Incidentally, Internet Explorer 5 messes up ALT-ESC under Windows 98, so you may have to minimize or close IE5 windows to do this."
but it's just mpeg1
