I cant get my Burner to burn 80Mins cd-rw but 74Mins it has no problem with. Cd-r 80Mins goes aswell. I have a HP 8100. Anyone else has the same problem?![]()

have you tried out the hp site? here's a link to your drive:

also what firmware version do you have on the drive? they have an update from 1.0f to 1.0q on the site which might assist in this problem. That is if you don't have 1.0q already.
also what burning software are you using and what op system are you using? -
also have you tried different types of 80 min cdrw media?
sometimes the drives just don't like a particular type of media -

Thought that could be the problem... I will take a look at my present firmware version and see if i can uppgrade it..
Btw i use Nero under WinXP.

A LiteON 24x10x40 burns 90 minute CD's, with Nero 5564, (812 meg)
also plays VCD's on a Pioneer 344 using 74 or 80 minute CD-RW's.
