I posted previously about the problem I was having when capturing with ATI and then using ANY edit software.
After experimenting , here is what I found.
Get perfect capture with ATI and playback.
Edit with ULEAD, MYflix, anything and when it generates the MPEG 1, the audio is out of sync.
SO finally I tried this.
Cpature with ATI.
Convert with TPMG to insure it is 100 % MPEG 1 compliant.
Then edit with Myflix or Ulead.
Audio stays in sync.
That says to me that SOMETHING with the ATI capture that THINKS it is 100% MPEG 1 compliant is really not.
It took a long time to figure it out. Its close because even NERO doesn't complain when cutting a VCD (no correction needed) but I find it strange that no matter WHAT edit software I use, the resulting movie has a sync problem.
Any thoughts on what cpature is doing wrong ?
Cpature settings as follows
MPEG1 - 352 X 240 1.15 Meg per sec
I = 1 P = 4 B = 2
sound = 44.100 khz 16 bit stereo
movement set for 75
Machine is very fast Pent 4 1.6 gighrtz
120 gig ata 100 hard drive
256 meg ram
ATI ALL in wonder 128 Pro AGP video card
running XP and Intels application accelerator (faster than ATA)
Thanks in advance....
