    Im using m2pmcencoderzx to convert these files but the drop in quality is quite severe.Is there any way i can do this without the drop in quality,maybe another program?

    What settings are you using? bitrate and frame size/resolution?

    You can also try windows movie maker or windows media encoder.

    Bitrate is 300 kbps,aspect is 320 x240.Once converted to wmv the file size is considerably smaller?
