Hello everyone...
All I want is to convert VOBs to RMVB. I see topics about vice versa a lot but I really like RMVB format. It's high quality and small. I tried WinAvi. It does what I want but not well enough. The quality was great, the file was very small but the resolution was not what I selected and scenes were moving slower. As far as I know Real Producer doesn't support VOBs. I tried that too and it didn't work. I'd really appreciate it if someone helped...
Also can anyone help me add subtitles into RMVB files too?
Thanks in advance![]()

I must be on my lucky day! FilmShrink says 'Selected folder doesn't ontain a valid job!' even though it's full of VOBs ripped with DVD Decrypter. And I can't download the RealVideo support for RealAnime. The link doesn't work.
Any other suggestions? -
Have you ripped ALL files using DVD Decrypter? not just the vob but also ifo, bups.
And use the mirror download for realanime, http://download.videohelp.com/download/RealAnime_500.exe but I don't think you can open vobs directly. You could try VOB2MPG and then open in realanime. -
I thought DVD Decrypter created three files each time something's ripped. VTS_01_0.IFO, VTS_01 - Stream Information.txt and VTS_01_1.VOB. I've got all these in the same folder.
I have no problem running RealAnime, I just don't have the RealVideo plug-in and that mirror doesn't contain it either. -
Realvideo 10 codec: http://www.detritus.qc.ca/files/realanime/RealAnime_500_real.exe from http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache:GCm-0CE6a3UJ:www.detritus.qc.ca/forum/viewtopic.php%3Fid%3D2+realanime&hl=sv&client=firefox-a&strip=1 seems to work.
edit: seems to dead again.
edit2: up again... -
Well, thank you very much fo you help so far. I managed to download the RV addon, made an avs script because RealAnime can't read VOB and encoded. Result? It was highly interlaced and the scenes were moving slow again. I'll try VOB2MPG firt and then try RealAnime again. Do you think it'll improve the quality?
http://www.realitylapse.com/pages/selectvideos.php -> here they have excellent quality RMVBs and I don't know how the hell hey do it. -
Use
Easy RealMedia Producer
small tutorial i made long back attached as zip file-extract contents into new folder-open html file-you can use higher kbps than mentioned there if you wish
ermp.zip -
I downloaded the 'main program of ERMP, not the full version because the link wasn't working. When I click start on ERMP it says 'Init Encoder Core Failed!' Anything I can do about this?
Here's a summary of what I tried and what I got...
I tried both Avi and VOB on WinAvi and both times the scenes of the output file move very slow. Actually I can see the frame rates changing while encoding and it's never 29.970 FPS.
Same problem goes for DVDZip, Real Producer and RealAnime.
Real Producer doesn't support VOBs so I tried and Avi nothing changed.
As for RealAnime I made an AVS script and the output file turned out to be slow moving and highly interlaced. Then I tried an Avi and the program couldn't determine the frame rate.
I'm running out of hope but I know there's a way to have perfect RMVBs out there. Any other suggestions?

Problem's kinda solved. I downloaded the full version of Easy RealMedia Producer from here.
Also RealPlayer sucks. Real Alternative is way better.
Thank you very much again to everyone who helped
