Hi, I just signed up here a couple of days ago, and I'm going to explain this as clear as I can.

Okay, here's the scoop. When I had SUPER v2006.build.19, I was able to convert FLV video files into WMV video files with no difficulty.

Then one day, when it was upgraded to SUPER v2007.build.21, it wouldn't convert anything I put into it. Instead, it would show this error message:

Possible Causes of Encoding Failure for SUPER v2007.build.21

An ERROR has occurred while encoding. The most common possible reasons causing error:

If you did not check “Use DirectShow,” you may try to check it on as you may have a working ActiveX filter installed on your PC that could read the codecs of your input file.

If the default ”NoChange” Video Scale is selected but your input file has it’s height or width not divisible by 16 then SUPER © can’t handle it. Choose any other pre-defined VideoScaleSize and re-encode.

Your input source file may not be a valid multimedia clip due to a damaged header, corrupted/segmented data or truncated file. Or maybe, your input file has unsupported codecs. Here again, you may verify the structure of your input file by double-clicking it, the Media Analysis Box, opens to display its info, codecs, and other internal data.

There was an interruption of the encoding process due to disk space, slow PC, RAM damage, CPU overload or a simple use manual interruption. Try Again.
I wanted to see if I could try and fix the problem, but then I was too worried that I'd wind up making things worse.

Has anyone else had this same problem, or was it just me?

in build 21 changelog -> "[ADD] support to play/re-encode flv4 with or without DirectShow

you now have to select one of these options first and you should have no problems

OK, never mind that last comment I made, I see the changelog listed on thsi site, but now to select the [ADD] option....what's the next step, how do I select this option for it to work?

Is there some sort of steps that I need to take to put it in my computer so I can fix this little coversion problem?

OK, I managed to get a couple of videos converted to WMV, when I went to the "Select the Output audio codec" option on top of the SUPER v2007 screen and switched it from wav to mp3 and now the videos can be converted, however I seemed to have stumbled into another problem.

When I play the newly-converted WMV video, there's all these pixelated glitches popping up everywhere, and it messes up the visuals, even though the audio comes out just fine.

What steps do I take to fix this one?
