Swop VOB file of different length in DVD

I'd like to swop a VOB file into a DVD of a different duration to the orginal one - but reauthoring the DVD is not possible as I've since deleted the editable menu files etc. which was all created on Encore.

I can put another VOB file in no problem, but playback stops at the point where the original VOB file ended - the one I am trying to splice in is longer - how can I have it play the whole file? (I'm thinking along the lines of editing the IFO files etc.)

Maybe use the replace function in Vobblanker ? I have never used it though.
