Hi Guys,
Somewher I read that most DVD burners have constraints, that keep the read times pretty much the same, however either BenQ or LiteOn had a differnt approach allowing for much faster read times. I can't remember where I saw this.
Thanks
Rico

Most drives have a "feature" referred to as rip-lock. There is often aftermarket firmware to "unlock" the rip speed. Although, this doesn't always make the drive read faster and almost always makes it noiser...a lot noiser for some models.
