Capture Freezes

Well ive been playing around with my capture card all week.

It was working fine, i could cpture Video with WMM and Wideo&Audio with Vdub, only problem was vdub file sizes were WAY to big.

But back to the point, Any program i use now, within 5 seconds of watching the *Preview, it freezes. Even if i try to capture, it will simply lock up, but keep recording. I try to view the recording after, and after a few seconds, its just a big long still frame.

I never had this problem at the start. But now i cant get around it.
Did i personnaly mess something up?

Did you add any programs recently that may have caused the problem? Have you tried a different codec for the capture? That sounds like a possible codec problem.

You mention 'preview'. You mean in the capture program? Have you tried to turn off the capture preview? Just a thought that it may be a display issue instead with the capture programs.

And what sort of material and source are you capturing from and what capture card are you using? Have you updated the software for it?
