The Grudge 2, RipIt4Me Combo & Nero Recode

Hi:

I bought the just released movie The Grudge 2_Unrated today and wanted to make a copy of it because I prefer watching my copies and like to keep the original in good condition. Anyhow, I was attempting to make a copy with the DVDFab but that didn't work, even the most recent beta version 3.0.7.5 was unable to crack it and so I resorted to latest RipIt4Me v1.6.7.0(beta) as the previous; v1.6.4.0 didn't pick up all the pertinent information.

Everything came out fine but there is one thing that I noticed, I noticed that after I have used the RipIt4Me combo(Rip/FixVTS/DVD Decrypter) I am unable to burn the ripped copy in Nero Recode and I'm wondering why that is. Please see my attached Windows Log Errors. If I can't attach both I will make a second entry.

The combination I have found that works best for me is: RipIt4Me>DVD Shrink>ImgBurn, that's if you are converting to a DVD-5. Recode should work fine though, but maybe it is having a hard time reading the output of RipIt4me?

I'm not sure what that error is. Is that all the log in those two .bmp's? That looks like a Windows error, not a Recode error.

I was able to rip the full movie by dvdfabdecrypter 3075beta without any problem. it took about 13 minutes

Yes that was a Window's log. The Nero Recode froze and I had to use the close application feature (windows)button which took forever.

I think you might be right about Nero Recode having a hard time. It's a shame because the one of the things I really like about Nero Recode is that it takes considerably LESS time to burn a ripped movie than DVD Shrink. Don't get me wrong I love Shrink but sometimes it takes hours to just to burn and sometimes even not checking the "Advanced Analysis" box doesn't help.

I did a backup with AnyDVD - CloneDVD and then compressed with DVD-RB.

I then wanted to burn it with CloneDVD and it gave me an error about the files being incorrect.

I then used Nero to burn it to Disk ... just as I thought it was OK ... I walked away to do something and when I got back a error message was displayed.

Vob 33 something was not quite right ... I told Nero to ignore the error ... it is burned and does play but ... hmmm ...

I did make a back up ... of only the movie ... but I like keeping the added features and a trailer of Ghost Rider was on it and Spiderman 3.

Shall I try ... DVDFab and Ripit4me ??

It is going through my thoughts to have DVD-RB process it again and then have Imgburn ... burn it.

Did you omit something ... like all the extra trailers except of course ... Spiderman 3 and Ghost Rider.

I used dvd shrink reauthor due to the size of all the extras, etc came out to a 44.6% compression

in other words I burnt the movie only
