why is it you can only eject the tray when you right click the drive in 'My Computer'?

surely common sense would have told Mr Bill Gates would switch it to 'close tray' in the right click options on the drive in 'My Computer'. Does Vista have this option or have they missed it again? . Other apps manage to open/close tray yet Windows seems to miss out this feature

has anyone got any suggestions seeing as my PC is nowhere near where I sit!

    cheers

Bill probably thought if somebody was using the tray as a coffee cup holder (It's second use) they might remotely spill their coffee.

I was going to dig up a app that would do that and just put a button on the task bar. But someone somewhere may have found a way to add it into the OS, which would be really nice. I especially hate it when Nero rejects a disc for being too small and I have to go to the other side of the room where the computer is and shove the tray back in.

Here's one, but I haven't tried it. Not part of the OS, though: http://www.redsofts.com/soft/866/5730/Drive_tray_Manipulator.html

yeah it is stupid that it works this way!

I've seen apps that do but I'd prefer the most obvious way of right click/load or right click/eject

Bill must have some skip rat doing his own drive
