I did a bit of searching on the forums and cannot confirm this is impossible, I want to be sure.
Is there a way to put two versions of the same movie on a DVD with both versions being exactly the same but with one being protected in some way from the kids seeing it. That is one is rated R and has all the swearing nudity etc etc but the other is rated G. My initial thought was a password you enter with your DVD player remote.
Two DVDs is solution B.
Bleeping and blackout is solution C.
thanks

If you are looking for a freeware/opensource solution, and are willing to learn a little in the process, then you might want to check out DVDAuthorGUI. Below is a link to a project I created with it that demonstrates the concept of a password protected title. Simply author it with dvdauthorgui, and test it out with your favorite dvd playback software.
