Hi all
I would like to burn the live cricket match into DVD instantaneously.
Can you guys throw some info on this.

You don't rip live TV unless you are cracking cable or satellite broadcasts. Semantics aside, the best option by far is a standalone DVD Recorder. If it doesn't have to be instant, get one with a HDD and just put highlights packages on the DVD.
If you want to do it with your PC then a few of the capture cards claim to be able to do it. However unless you are happy putting only 60 - 80 minutes to a disc, quality will start to suffer.Read my blog here.

Many thanks for ur reply. But i would like to know that, can i use a DVD recorder to burn a 7hrs DVD during any live telecast simultaneously.

Some will, although the quality will be very low. 7 hours on a DVD5 is VCD quality, which is sub-VHS. Some recorders will record at that level. If you can get a DL recorder the quality will be a little better, although still not great. 2 hours on a DVD5 and 4 on a DVD9 (DL) is about the point where quality starts to degrade - and it goes down quickly.
