  1. ...... and all I get is muffled sound and loud hiss. Obviously the disc is copy protected. I've tried DVD Audio Ripper, I've tried DVD Decrypter and then extracting the audio from the VOB file using VOB Edit, but neither work. Does anyone have suggestions?

    Thanks!

  2. Use DVD Decrypter IFO Mode, and enable Stream Processing. Select audio track in the main program you wish to extract and set Stream Processing option to Demux. Unselect everything else and leave it with Direct Stream Copy option. Hit Copy and this shoud extract your audio. You have the option under Tools/Settings/IFO Mode to split your audfio track by chapter, or to extract a single audio file and then split it as you see fit in Sound Forge or something similar.

Decrypter is an old prog and not updated for a while. You will have to use newer software like AnyDVD to rip to your HD and than use Decrypter or TNPEGEnc to extarct audio. After you can use other audio editing tools to split the songs.

Also make sure you are copying the ac3 or pcm/wav soundtrack. If you copy the dts track (if available) you will only be able to play it back in software that has a dts decoder in it. You are better off using ac3 or the linear pcm tracks as it is much easier to convert to wav for cd burning or mp3 compressing.

  6. Thanks for the help, guys. I tried DVDFab Decrypter before trying DVD Decrypter but not IFO mode as suggested. I want to burn the extracted PCM tracks to CD as I don't think I should have to buy a copy of the CD to hear the music in my car.

AC3? I never touch the stuff when uncompressed audio is available.

    Thanks again!

  7. There is a number of tools you can use to simply convert PCM files into WAV's, and then use any CD burning software (such as NERO) to make a regular Audio CD. You will need to make 2 CD if you want to have all the tracks handy. Conveniently enough, the show on DVD has been devided into two 1-hour segments with audio nicely faded out and in. I guess they figured that some people would be doing exactly what you wish to do.
