I have a minidv camcorder. Can I record with it and put the video onto a dvd disc using a dvd recorder that is hooked up to the camcorder, instead of saving the video to the camcorder minidv tape?

    1. You set the DV camcorder to Camera Mode. Most will then output over S-Video and IEEE-1394.

    2. To use IEEE-1394 interface to the DVD recorder, the recorder needs to accept a live feed. Most want to contol a tape pre roll. IOW they won't simply record a live input. So, you may need to use the S-Video and audio connections instead.
