    Hello,

I've authored a DVD in DVD-lab Pro, everything working nicely, BUT in "Zoom Player" as well as on standalone DVD Player the label/name of the subtitle(s) does not appear! In 'Zoom Player' I get "Unknown", on my standalone "---" shows instead of label.* PowerDVD shows the label...

I have tried IfoEdit (loading the respective VTS...X.ifo) as well as PGCEdit, and although they update and the DVD's playing fine in every other respect, the subtitle STILL does not show it's label...

Any suggestions? Did I accidentally omit any other location in the DVD structure? I've looked up all those guides on Ifoedit and PgcEdit, but they do not describe this problem.

    ----
    * The subs themselves play and show up nicely, but not their language label...

  2. Hi-

I've never had your particular problem, but when I want to add the language label I open the DVD in PGCEdit, I right-click the video in the left window and hit Domain Streams Attributes. In the new Streams Attributes window that opens up, I assign the language. If that doesn't fix it, then I don't know.

    Thanks for the quick answer!!
Am still at a loss what to do or what I might have forgotten... I assign the sub-stream's attributes in DVD-lab in the proper location (sub-window, as well as Movie-window), still no go...

The audio-labels are correct, only the sub-label isn't.

Have you updated to the latest version (2.21 or later) ? There were some subtitle problems resolved in recent updates.

Thanks, guys, for your kind help!

Well, it is a PAL-movie, so I don't think, that the NDF-option would change things for the better. But here is another thought: how would the NDF help in the display of the subtitle's label?

I WILL try the update though, perhabs that takes care of this problem. I'll keep you posted!
