    If you have more than one installed how does TMPGEnc know which one to use?

    I think it'll use the same one that is used in your standard media player (WMP)

    To select/change which decoder you want to use, use DirectShow Filter Manager
    You can choose which one you want to be the 'default' by increasing the priority of that specific decoder in DirectShow Filter Manager.
    The one with the highest 'merit' (preference) will be used

    I'm pretty sure that's it. Can some pro please verify this ?
