Just purchased a Philips DVP5140 and tried to play a couple of dvix files the first one stoped 15 mins after playing and the second stoped 54mins after playing and when this happenes the video frezzes and the audio keeps playing and then it stops and takes me back to the menu.
I have googeled this player and have read good reveiws about it.
Could it be the software i'm using to burn with I'm using Nero v6.6.1.4 or do I need to purchase a newer Nero up todate.
Thx for anyhelp on this

It's most likely (primarily) due to something about the DivX/Xvid files themselves, not the software you're using to burn. Run the two videos in question through GSpot (2.60) and post screenshots of the resulting information windows here. (Blank out the file and path names, if you prefer.) This might help us figure out if there's something in the videos the 5140 doesn't like, or if there's errors in the video that might be tripping up the 5140.
