Researchers at University of Toronto plan to introduce a software tool on Friday that aims to help people in countries that censor the World Wide Web.

Psiphon (pronounced sigh-fawn), a web-based utility, lets individuals in a country that censors the internet sign on to a server that gives them secure access to web pages anywhere, bypassing government restrictions.......

Pretty much my first thought too.

Some folks are going to see this as on the line political, some will see it as a brick through the window political. Sadly some won't see it at all.
IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT?

Funny but I never even thought of this being political but obviously it is. My point was what good could come from such a tool where any country that has such restrictions would also have harsh penalties for anyone trying to circumvent those restrictions.

Probably best to lock this thread as it's not going to go anywhere other than political...
