I have a stack of tdk DVD-RW's (1-4X) that i use constantly. Problem is i've just changed pc and instead of the liteon i had previously, i now have a sony DW Q30A. It defaults to 4x burn rate. No problem i hear you say!! Well my home dvd player is a bit tempremental and will give jerky playback at this burn rate. Will play absolutely fine when burnt at 2x. And no, my player is not old its approx 6 months old and is a panasonic dvd/ram recorder.
I really want to avoid discarding a load of perfectly good discs.
How can i have the burn rate lowered? When ever a drop down menu comes up for burn speeds and i select a slower speed it seems to default to max rate for disc. Wondering if the drive was flashed before i purchased it?
Any ideas? Thanks.
