    Hey everyone

I dont know what forum was best to post this question in but here goes:

I recently got a new Toshiba DLP TV for my media center (http://www.tacp.toshiba.com/televisions/product.asp?model=42hm66)
I have had it for about 2 weeks and now all of a sudden I cannot get sound to come out of it, I have it wired so any sound inputs to it run out of it to my computer's soundcard, so it comes out of the pc surround speaker system, to do that I have the TV speakers set to "external"

But even when I set it to "internal" speakers, there's no sound whatsoever, it just makes a quick and small pop or crackle sound as I switch it back and forth, I don't know what's going on, I want to avoid having to bring it back to the store if I can help it.

I tried multiple game systems with the RCA inputs to test sound, also tried every sound input on the TV, then I tried the factory reset option, and finally I left it unplugged all day so it hopefully loses its memory, but still no luck.

    Any ideas?

My 1st 42HM66 had 'no sound' problem after about 3 hours. Replacement is working.... but the HDTV should a MUCH softer than the analog broadcast. I set the Analog sound lever around 60 (1-100) but the HD sound needs to be around 90 depending on the channel. I also switched the audio connections of the DVD player to bypass the Toshiba TV and now run the TV audio on internal mode as there was too much distortion via the stereo receiver (with volume turned very high for HD).
I am less than happy with the audio situation as I have 4 speaker surround sound and the television doesn't provide the output needed.
